At 7:54 am, an officer observed a light vehicle traveling southbound, in the 6600 block of Brompton fail to stop at the designated stopping point. A traffic stop was conducted in the 6700 block of Brompton and after further investigation the driver was arrested for not having an operator’s license and fail to maintain financial responsibility.
Possession of Paraphernalia
At 4:26 pm, an officer observed a burgundy vehicle traveling westbound in the 4200 block of Bissonnet without a front license plate attached to the front of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 5700 block of Innsbruck, Bellaire, TX and after further investigation it was discovered that the driver was in possession of a glass smoking pipe. The driver admitted to have previously smoked marijuana in the glass pipe and I observed it to contain a small partially burnt amount of artificial marijuana. A citation was issued for the offense of possession of drug paraphernalia and no front license plate. The glass smoking pipe was confiscated and the driver was released on scene.
Police Information Report
At 11:34 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 5900 block of Fordham, along with medical personnel, to check the welfare of a subject with possible seizures. Upon investigation, it was discovered that two subjects overdosed on an unknown substance.
An officer observed a subject walking in the middle of the roadway. Officers made contact with the subject and after further investigation, determined that the subject was intoxicated. The subject was arrested for public intoxication and transported to West University place jail for book-in.
An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department for a report of identity theft. The officer spoke to the complainant who stated she received a letter from her personal credit monitoring company advising her that an unknown person(s) attempted to open multiple credit accounts at a sears department store and a Fingerhut website.
Theft of Vehicle
An officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 3700 block of Sunset in regards to motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the complainant who stated that on 04/26/2013, at 5:00pm, he parked his vehicle on his driveway. On 04/27/2013, at 9:00am, the complainant proceeded to his driveway and noticed that his vehicle was missing. The complainant also stated he was the last person to drive the vehicle and advised that both he and his wife are the only persons who have a set of keys for the vehicle. The complainant also stated that the vehicle was left unlocked during the time of this incident. Officers later searched the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.
