Agenda items for tonight’s meeting include discussion about Heavy Trash Day, which will be held on April 30 and a Shred-It event, which will be held on May 7.
The board will also continue to discuss future automation efforts in West U.
The board has been discussing the possibility of going to automated curbside collection of solid waste, recyclables and yard waste for the past several months.
Automation is part of the board’s strategic plan, which was presented to city council in September.
The board plans on presenting information about automation to the new council in the coming months.
The committee is responsible for studies and recommendations on recycling and solid waste and community education.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Public Works lunch room, 3825 Milton.
