11-Year-Old American League All Stars Donate Car Wash Earnings To Scholarship Fund

The West University 11-year-old American League All Stars recently held a car wash and donated their earnings to the Matthew Resnick Scholarship Fund. The team has currently won three games in the winner’s bracket and are preparing for their next game at 7 p.m. July 5.

“The boys are excited about their success and appreciate all the encouragement they have gotten during the tournament. We have talked about community service and they understand what it means. The team wanted to do something meaningful. Honoring Matthew was something that they were really behind,” said Manager Larry Labanowski.
